Ashtanga is a dynamic, cleansing vinyasa practice that’s both energizing and meditative. In this class, Sarah will guide you through the introductory warm-ups from the Ashtanga tradition, an intelligently choreographed sequence of poses enlivened by deep breathing. We’ll begin with two classical forms of Surya Namaskar - sun salutations - then into standing poses, balances, and core work. We’ll wind down with inversions, twists, a forward bend, and deep rest. Best for students who enjoy flow and a sense of challenge.
Community classes are pay by donation ($5 - $20 sliding scale suggested). If you're new to our studio, please be sure to introduce yourself to your teacher before the start of class.
