Join Nancy Causey and Terri Lundquist for an afternoon of deep, nurturing healing.
Nancy will lead the group through a series of gentle warm-ups, then into a sequence of Restorative Yoga poses designed to create deep relaxation. The main philosophy of Restorative Yoga is that by relaxing into poses using the aid of props, without strain or pain, we can find physical, mental and emotional ease. Our parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we release into poses, which promotes the relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies.
Terri will be moving around the room from student to student, administering her healing Reiki touch. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes powerful and gentle healing. Administered by the very gentle laying on of hands, Reiki promotes deep relaxation and pain relief, relieves stress and anxiety, eases muscle tension, and promotes peace of mind and body.
The workshop will end with 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra, a deeply relaxing and healing guided meditation, experienced while resting in savasana.
