Yin Yang Yoga with Cindy

 This class starts with the Yin practice of gentle long-held postures that penetrate deeply into connective tissue, especially around the joints. This helps to relieve stagnation and blockages in the body, opening up channels of energy. We then pump fresh energy through the awakened channels with a more active Yang practice of rhythmical movement. Class ends with a nourishing savasana, allowing the practice of renewal to resonate deeply within.

FOR BEGINNERS & CONTINUING STUDENTS

Cindy Vannoy, E-RYT 500. Teaching since 2006, Cindy is continuously inspired by the transformative nature of Yoga to affect change and promote health on many different levels.  She is an internationally registered Yin Yoga Teacher, and a nationally registered E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Instructor holding both 500 hour Embodyoga and 200 hour YogaWorks Certifications. A Yoga of Recovery Counselor, Cindy was instrumental in developing the Yoga program at High Watch Recovery Center in Kent, CT.  She holds advanced teacher certifications in Yoga of the Heart for Cardiac and Cancer Care, Restorative Yoga, Chakra Yoga, and Ayurveda.
