Twisting poses are unparalleled for their ability to release tension around the neck, shoulders, and back. They’re also wonderfully stimulating for the internal organs, especially the digestive tract. In this class we’ll warm up with a series of passive twists balanced by neutralizing core enliveners. Then we’ll move into slow flow, exploring a variety of classical standing twisting forms.

Sarah Getz, E-RYT 500, is the director and founder of Yoga at Space. Sarah is a passionate student of Yoga who has been a Certified and Registered Yoga Instructor since 1994. After first practicing Yoga and working as a studio manager at Jivamukti in New York City, she studied many styles, focusing on the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions. Sarah's current source of inspiration is Embodyoga®, the work of her teacher, Patty Townsend of Yoga Center Amherst. Sarah holds two 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certifications, two 500 hour Certifications, and is a Nationally Registered E-RYT 500 hour Yoga Alliance Instructor.
